Who we are

Founded in 2023 by Caleb Branch-Roach, Pepper Woodworks was born from a simple belief: furniture should feel as meaningful as the spaces it inhabits. Now in our third year, we create solid-wood pieces for homeowners, designers, architects, and business owners who value craftsmanship, character, and lasting quality.

Every piece is handcrafted from start to finish. From selecting the lumber to applying the final finish, each step is carried out with care, precision, and respect for the material. We celebrate the natural beauty of wood, allowing its grain, texture, and warmth to shine through in every creation.

The name Pepper comes from a special source, Caleb’s five-year-old Australian Shepherd. As a lively puppy, she darted in and out of the shop, enthusiastically “inspecting” lumber, chasing drifting sawdust, and keeping Caleb on his toes between cuts and glue-ups. Her boundless energy and playful curiosity filled the workspace long before the business officially began.

Pepper embodies the spirit behind the company—loyal, driven, and full of life. We pour that same energy and devotion into every piece we build. Just as she brings warmth, movement, and personality into a room, our furniture is crafted to do the same.
